Evaluate progress toward grant goals to increase STEM degree completion of low-income, high-achieving undergraduates with demonstrated financial need. The project aims to minimize transfer shock and increase the Scholars' sense of belonging, the project will provide each Scholar cohort with a summer course-based undergraduate research experience that also has an integrated STEM transfer student orientation.

Evaluate implementation fidelity of the key project components at Notre Dame, Youngstown State University, and University of Louisville using a triangulation of data, including observation, document review, and interviews, to summarize differences at replication sites in critical factors from the initial development of the C-EEEM and how replication sites develop differently given initial conditions.

Interdisciplinary Traineeship for Socially Responsible and Engaged Data Scientists (iTReDS) Program

Develop evaluation framework and data analysis plan, coordinate data collection in support of Evaluation Team, develop digital tools for data collection, collect and analyze stakeholder focus groups/interviews, document data, and complete annual report for review. The University of Notre Dame, as coordinating organization, and Saint Mary's College, a women's college as implementation organization, collaborate through capstone projects and internships to foster data acumen, social responsibility and engagement, and acquisition of superskills that include teamwork, entrepreneurship, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and ethics. This approach combines explanation, prediction, and attention to cultural and social context.
